Meet Fatma

Fatma Allam is an Egyptian Sociology, Anthropology, and Mathematics student at Lake Forest College. She unlearned multiple constructs about linguistic practices and social development through her work on this project, and she is driven by the fact that she is a subject of her research on language loss and its dynamic relationship with socio-economic class and development. Fatma’s research interests vary between Middle Eastern and sub-Saharan sociology to sociolinguistics and quantitative research models.
